How to talk to people…

 As I talk to people around the world in network marketing I have learned that the biggest problem is that the companies and up-line’s don’t teach the new distributors how to approach people and get them to say, YES!

Most Network Marketing Companies are more concerned about making sure that the distributors are well equipped to present their programs to people who are willing to listen. When I get calls from new distributors in various companies I always ask them if they have been taught how to approach a stranger and speak with them, getting them to ultimately ask for more information. Their answer in all cases is NO!

It’s not the fault of the Network Marketing Companies but the fault of the up-line’s that are bringing in new distributors. Without an understanding of how to get people to say Yes, many are dead in the water. How to talk to people is critical in building a solid business.

The typical process is to get the newbies to talk to friends and family, which is a good way to assure that your friends and family never speak to you again. Someone who is brand new and talks to a close friend or family is not equipped to speak with them and present their specific program in a professional way. The end result is that the presentation will get messed up, and the whole meeting turns into a defensive discussion with the new distributor defending their position of why they joined Network Marketing.

How to talk to people is what we teach every one of our new distributors and will not let them go on their own unless they master this skill.
